Explain The Rules In Detail: The risks teens face in the driving environment are enormous! Parents and guardians must teach safe driving behaviors from the beginning. So, the Parent-Child Driving Agreement outlining established expectations and consequences if expectations are not met, is prior to obtaining the provisional license. For model agreements, check with your insurance agency.

After receiving the license you will still be marked provisional until age 18.

* You must not drive between midnight and 5 a.m.

* No more than one Passenger under 21 years old

* Do not use wireless communication devices, hands-free or not

* Use your belt, it’s the law

Students between the ages of 15 and 17 are required to complete the adolescent course in order to obtain their license.

The state requires 32 hours of classroom instruction and 14 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. During the first week of classes at our school, we administer the written exam. Upon passing, the student will receive a certificate allowing him or her to apply for the restricted license. After obtaining their restricted license, the student is still required to complete the remaining hours of the class, however they can also begin scheduling their driving classes outside of class time. Once all the hours of theory and driving classes are finished, the student will receive a second certificate, which will allow the student to obtain the license from it. To obtain a license, the student must be at least 16 years old and have her permission for a minimum of 6 months.

Driving times can be scheduled according to the student’s schedule. Students go out in groups of two with one of our instructors. Each student does one hour of driving and one hour of observing while driving.

We include:

Written exam
Certificate for restricted license
Certificate for license
Insurance discount certificate
